ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT
Responsibilities:
* Preparation of Management Accounts/Forecast Reports for the Board
* Preparation of Quarterly Management accounts for the Board
* Cost based Budgeting & Variance reporting
* To head a team to ensure prompt payments of commissions due to Advisers to Branch leaders using an international based life insurance & investment computer packages.
* Overall supervision of staff payroll & benefits and to ensure payments are made on time.
* Overall supervision of Receipts & Payments systems including to suppliers
* Internal Controls within the Company both implementation and periodic reviews
* Annual Audits of Company – both liaising with External Auditors and Internal auditors
* Tax submission & management
* Bank Reconciliation
* Liaise with company corporate secretary and foreign subsidiaries.
* Preparation of Year-end Budget
Requirements:
* Qualified Accountant working in a Life Insurance or related environment preferred
* Fresh graduates and those with 1-2 relevant accounting working experience are also welcome to apply
* Willingness to learn and ability to meet datelines
* Good working attitude
