Director, Corporate Social Responsibility Services

We are seeking a talented and qualified leader to embed social and
environmental values and the co-operative principles into all areas of the
business, achieve strategic corporate social responsibility (CSR) objectives,
and advance ACU’s leadership as a socially responsible financial institution.

The Director, Corporate Social Responsibility Services supports the development
and implementation of corporate CSR policies, strategies, and plans. S/he leads
a team of experts to develop, implement, and co-ordinate CSR products,
services, programs, and partnerships, including those related to socially
responsible investing (SRI). The Director also assists ACU to measure, report
on and continuously improve CSR performance. S/he delivers value-added CSR and
SRI services to business units, members, and the community; and supports ACU to
leverage CSR and the co-operative difference for brand, and
relationship/business development.

The successful candidate has at least 10 years of related experience with a
minimum of five years at a senior management level in addition to a post-secondary
degree, preferably in a related discipline such as business, environmental
studies or community planning. Practical, operational business experience and
direct experience in the field of corporate social responsibility, socially
responsible investing, accountability reporting, or environmental management is
required. Experience in the financial services sector would be considered an
asset. As a champion of CSR internally and externally, the Director must be
able to communicate complex and challenging messages to a wide range of
audiences.

Qualified candidates must demonstrate corporate citizenship leadership
competencies by being a change driver, strategic influencer, visionary thinker,
and collaborative networker — as well as having a systems perspective,
peripheral vision, personal maturity and optimistic commitment.
