Asia Pacific University International Student Scholarships

Asia Pacific University is accepting applications for international student
scholarships. Scholarships are available for pursuing undergraduate,
postgraduate and foundation programme.

APU’s aim is to
nurture and encourage innovation through their programmes, with the intention
of producing individuals who will learn, adapt and think differently in new and
better ways.

Asia Pacific
University of Technology & Innovation (APU) is the most international
university in Malaysia, located in Kuala Lumpur, one of the most vibrant cities
in Asia.

Scholarship holders
must maintain a CGPA score of 3.00 to carry forward

and maintain their
scholarship throughout their studies.

Course

Scholarships are available for pursuing undergraduate, postgraduate and
foundation programme.

Subject:

Scholarships are offered in diverse fields to help students in upgrading their
education.

Scholarship
Award:

These partial scholarships are limited to course fees only. All other fees
& expenses including project fees, registration fees, living and travel
expenses, except for the course fee as determined by the scholarship award
shall be borne by the scholarship holder.

Eligibility: The following
criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for these
scholarships

  • Scholarship holders must
    maintain a CGPA score of 3.00 to carry forward and maintain their
    scholarship throughout their studies.
  • Students who have not
    obtained their final results may use their Forecast results to apply.
    However, their forecast results must be certified by the School.
  • Should the student fail
    to achieve the required actual results after having been awarded a
    scholarship based on Forecast results, the award will be rescinded.

Nationality: International students can
apply for these scholarships.

College
Admission Requirement:

Scholarship holders must maintain a CGPA score of 3.00 to carry forward and
maintain their scholarship throughout their studies.

Entrance
Requirement:

Undergraduate
Degree Programme:

Direct Entry
to Level 1 of the Degree:

  • 2 Principal Passes at
    STPM level and with 4 Credit Passes at SPM including Mathematics; or
  • 2 Passes with at ‘A’
    Levels and with a Credit Pass at ‘O’ Levels / GCSE including Mathematics;
    or
  • The APIIT/APU Foundation
    or equivalent with CGPA of 2.0 and Credit in Mathematics at SPM/O-Level;
    or
  • 5 Grade B’s in UEC
    including Mathematics; or
  • Canadian Pre-University
    (CPU) with minimum average of 50%; or
  • Australian Matriculation
    (AUSMAT) with minimum average of 60%; or
  • South Australian
    Matriculation Certificate (SAM) with minimum of 60%; or
  • International
    Baccalaureate with minimum 24 marks;
  • Victorian Certificate of
    Education with minimum average of 50%;
  • Ontario Secondary School
    Diploma with minimum average of 50%; or
  • A qualification that APU
    accepts as equivalent to the above.
    Direct Entry to Level 2 of the Degree:
  • Successful completion of
    the APU Diploma; or
  • Successful completion of
    studies in another recognised institute with academic credits equivalent
    to -Level 1 of an Honours degree.
    Foundation Programme:
  • An overall credit pass
    in at least 5 subjects at SPM level (including a credit in Mathematics for
    ROUTE B ) (including a credit in Mathematics and Physics or Chemistry) and
    a minimum of a pass in Bahasa Malaysia and Sejarah (History); or
  • 5 grade C passes at ‘O’
    Level / GCSE; or
  • A qualification that APU
    accepts as equivalent to the above.
    Postgraduate Degree
    Programme:
  • Bachelor’s degree with
    minimum CGPA of 2.50 or equivalent as acceptable by the Senate; OR
  • Bachelor’s degree or
    equivalent but for CGPA below 2.50; can be accepted provided that the
    candidates must have 5 years working experience in relevant field.

English
Language Requirement:

Foundation and
Diploma Programmes

  • IELTS : 5.5
  • TOEFL : 65 (Internet
    Based Test), 513 (Paper Based Test), 183 (Computer Based Test)
  • Other Certification or
    Evidence of English Proficiency that APU accepts as equivalent to the
    above
  • Applicants who do not
    possess the above will be required to sit for the APU English Placement
    Test, and based on the outcome of the test may be required to attend the
    APU Intensive English Programme (IEP) prior to the commencement of the
    Foundation/Diploma programme.
    Bachelor’s (Hons) Degree
    Programmes
  • IELTS : 6.0
  • TOEFL : 79-80 (Internet
    Based Test), 550 (Paper Based Test), 213 (Computer Based Test)
  • Other Certification or
    Evidence of English Proficiency that APU accepts as equivalent to the
    above
  • Applicants who do not
    possess the above will be required to sit for the APU English Placement
    Test, and based on the outcome of the test may be required to attend the
    APU Intensive English Programme (IEP) prior to commencement of the Degree

Masters
Degree Programmes:

Evidence of satisfactory English language skills is required for candidates
where English is not their first language, such as IELTS 6.0 or above or TOEFL
550 or above.
