Institution (MFIs) in different countries of Asia and Africa to assist the poor
to help themselves out of poverty alleviation and women empowering, and has
extensive microfinance programs globally. In order to fulfill the requirements
of the holding, ASA Microfinance Rwanda Ltd is looking for competent, dynamic
and self –motivated staff to fill up the following position:
Position:Grievance Officer

Location:
Head
Office at Gisozi but interested also in Field Visit

Supervisor
:
Reportable to ASAI GMC-Chairperson (entity) for his/her activities.
Duties
and Responsibilities
The
following job responsibilities are assigned to respective ASAI Grievance
Officer:
  1. Every
    month he/she has to visit two branches (set one visit in accordance to the
    branch meeting schedule to attend the branch meeting) to accompany the
    staff with great sincerity to inform them about the GMC regulation and
    activities. The following Officer must send his/her visit report to GMC-
    Dhaka.
  2. According
    to the rules of GMC, he /she has to receive ASAI staff’s
    complaints/appeals and primarily investigate those complaints /appeals.
  3. H/she
    has to prepare meeting resolution to conduct two GMC monthly meeting in
    every month and send a report (as per the GMC monthly meeting report
    format )about discussed complaints /appealswith referenceto the respective
    entity’s manual/ employees handbook (justify the applied punishment ) to
    GMC Dhaka.
  4. The
    Grievance Officer must abide by the ASI entities’ given laws and
    regulation and cautiously keep the records (complaints/appeals) of
    “Collected Grievance Procedure”.
  5. The
    Grievance Officer will be reportable to the respective ASAI GMC-
    chairperson (entity) for his/her activities.
  6. He/she
    will brief the staff member around one to one and a half (1-11/2)
    hours who will come to the head office for training about GMC activities
    and procedure.
  7. The
    Grievance Officer must give special attention to the staff specially
    victimized female (mentally/physically/sexually ) and report immediately
    to the GMC –entity higher authority members (chairperson /Member).If the
    GMC –chairperson and member (entity)remain absent on that time or make
    delay to handle the said issue accordingly then Grievance Officer can
    inform the issue to GMC –Dhaka.
  8. Any
    other job assigned by management ‘either entity chief or GMC-Dhaka’ time
    to time.
Qualification
of a Grievance Officer
  • Graduate
    (HR related background will get preference).
  • Age
    must not exceed 35 years.
  • Female
    candidate will get more preference.
  • Should
    be interested field visit.
  • Should
    be smart, intelligent, honest, curious and able to communicate with ease
    and smartness.
  • Strong
    proficiency in understanding, speaking and writing in English and local
    language.
  • Must
    have very good command over MS office application.
