closely with the Board of Directors in ensuring that the strategic mission of
Aon Botswana is achieved
resulting in sustainable superior financial performance of the Company.
The
Key Responsibilities include:
- Co-ordinate the
formulation, implementation and review of the company’s strategy, goals
and objectives. - Propose, seek agreement
and implement a structure which will support the formulated strategy. - Provide overall
strategic leadership, direction and guidance to the Aon Botswana team. - Drive value creation
through financial, customer base, reputation and organizational capacity. - Build the company’s
capacity to sustain continual change in a competitive environment whilst
ensuring full compliance to the Group, Botswana and International
regulatory frameworks.
Essential
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills requirements:
- Postgraduate
qualification in Business Studies with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in
the short term insurance industry, seven of which must be at Executive
level - Above average
understanding of the short term insurance sector and financial markets in
the Sub Sahara Africa Insurance Markets and strong business acumen. - Ability to develop business
in the short and long term insurance sector with the main resource being
intellectual property. - Ability to drive a high
performance culture and enable business growth and expansion of market
share - Excellent interpersonal
skills, including negotiation skills, cultural sensitivity, listening
skills and conflict handling skills.
