This is an exciting and rare opportunity to work with one of Victoria’s leading
early years specialists. We are looking for enthusiastic and passionate
Bachelor qualified Kindergarten Teachers who have ingenuity and drive with the
potential to lead the team aligned to Gowrie’s organisational strategy, values,
philosophy and purpose. The new Children’s Program will open in a purpose-
built, spacious centre in Broadmeadows Valley in January 2016.
You will be responsible for:
–
Implementing a high quality developmental program using your
extensive knowledge of the National Quality Framework.
– Leading and mentoring staff while supporting management and
driving the requirements of the business units.
– Additionally, as the Early Years Leader (Teacher) you will inspire
the pedagogical practices that are aligned to Gowrie’s philosophy
and
purpose. Developing and maintaining strong positive
relationships
with management colleagues, parents and children
– Liaising and building relationships with the broader community.

To be
successful in this role you will have…
- 4-year
Early Childhood Teaching Degree or, a minimum 3 year Early Childhood
Teaching Degree or Diploma (or equivalent as approved by the Victorian
Branch of Early Childhood Australia) - Minimum
2 years’ experience as an Early Childhood Teacher - Current
Working with Children Check and certification in First Aid, Anaphylaxis
and Asthma - Comprehensive
knowledge of the National Quality Framework by ensuring compliance in line
with the Education and Care Services National Regulations 2012, Education
and Care Services National Law Act 2010 and National Quality Standard - Comprehensive
knowledge and application of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
Belonging, Being and Becoming and Victorian Early Years Learning and
Development Framework (VEYLDF) through an emergent play-based curriculum - Demonstrated
ability to deliver programs that are inclusive, respectful of diversity
and additional needs - Proven
ability to be a reflective practitioner of performance and practice - Sound
and technical competencies: Microsoft Word, Outlook and internet skills
