Agricultural Specialist – AMG Global Chartered Accountants
Our client, a
financial institution, registered under the Banking Act seeks the services of
an Agricultural Specialist – Lilongwe
Reporting to the
Deputy Chief Executive Officer
To grow Agriculture
business in terms of assets (loans) and liabilities (customer deposits),
customer base and income through personal selling activities within existing
customer portfolio and getting
new one within the Bank’s target markets of
micro banking and semi commercial agriculture, Effective relationships
management resulting in optimisation of customer satisfaction, retention and
wallet share through multiple marketing solutions (cross-selling) from the
entire range of the bank’s products and services is critical
Strategy input and
achievement of business growth targets for agriculture segment in accordance
with govt policies, In liaison with Branch Managers handle transactions for
agriculture customers on day to day basis always ensuring the Bank is not
unduly exposed, Adequacy of personal and team competence effectively perform
agriculture relationships management activities and tasks, Provisions of
capacity building and counselling to all branch Managers, Relationship
Managers, Relationship Supervisors and operations employees, Qualities
management of agriculture customer expectations through adherence to call
management programmes, Consistency in adherence to and applications of
established agriculture and lending policies, processes, procedures ad tools to
achieve optimal efficiency in agriculture, compliance and cost containment,
Participate in cross functional product development activities that help
promote and nurture collective responsibility to bigger objectives of the Bank,
Contribute to the preparation of departmental monthly reports
This is a senior
position requiring a mature+ problem solver+ Self motivated individual with
strong numeracy and communication skills, and strong analytical competencies,
Holder of a bachelors Degree in Business statistics, Marketing, Commerce,
Economics or agriculture + Masters degree preferred + Relevant professional
qualifications in banking, finance or marketing provider an added advantage +
at least 5 yrs relevant experience in agriculture banking and at least 4 yrs at
management or supervisory level + Relevant sales experience
