This fast growing online recreation business has been expanding at a
commendable rate and now they are looking for additional leadership,
specifically in Information Technology to help take this innovative
organisation even further. This is a very successful Australian business
which has a genuinely loyal following online, nation-wide and internationally.
A restructure within the business has now seen the approval of a new executive
role for the business being a CIO. This CIO will provide a range of advice
across all aspects of this organisations tech, mostly with a focus on their
most important tech asset being their online platform.
Managing the IT and Digital team, it will be this CIO’s responsibility to
understand how to continue the growth of this business and parallel to this,
the online sales of their products, by leading a number of innovative
initiatives and consulting with the COO and CFO about ongoing changes to the
organisations technology and digital strategy.
To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience with:
- A
proven career as an IT leader (Technical Lead, IT Manager or IT
Director) where you have managed a range of technology professionals,
provided IT Business advice to the complete C-Suite of an organisation and
provided new and improved IT strategies to an organisation (online, CRM
and Systems based innovations). - Specific
experience leading a team that is responsible for the successful
management of a website including a customised platform, whilst having the
capability to review both frontend and backend code, understanding of
UX and UI and experience leading and providing advice regarding the
integration between CRM and a traffic heavy site. - You’ll
have a technical understanding of a range of technologies, specifically PHP,
Magento and Drupal for this role. - Having
a passion for the outdoors and different types of outdoor activities and
understanding the target market that would usually utilize the online
store of this organisation would be a major advantage.

energy to match the quality of work your team delivers and a true passion for
progressive technology. You’ll have the confidence to offer advice to the BAU
team across the organisation and experience hiring some of the best technology
talent in Sydney.
