AIM Overseas is Australia’s leading provider of overseas short courses for
Australian university students. We are passionate about helping more students
to study overseas!

Our programs run for 3-4 weeks during the summer and winter holidays. They are
taught in English by universities around the world.

We are looking to for a Student Administrative Assistant to join our small
team, with the role primarily focused on providing advice and support to
students that apply for our programs.

The Assistant Student Coordinator’s primary role is supporting the Student
Coordinator with student enquiries and applications for AIM Overseas study
programs. We like to provide a personalised service, so this involves close
contact with student applicants, particularly speaking with them by phone as
part of students’ “Initial Consultation” with us. A range of other
data management activities using AIM Overseas’ customer relationship management
(CRM) system and other tech platforms is also a key part of the role.

As a member of a small team, the person will be expected to take on new tasks
and to help fill ‘gaps’ as the need arises.

Major Tasks/Responsibilities for this role include:

  • Liaising with students that have applied for
    our programs by phone
  • Assisting with student enquiries by phone and
    email
  • Assisting with the administrations of student
    applications
  • Other administrative office tasks as required

Reporting:
You’ll report to Annabel, our Student Coordinator

Essential skills:

  • Demonstrated communication skills –
    particularly the ability to write well and demonstrate a positive phone
    manner
  • Demonstrated organisational and time
    management skills
  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work to deadlines and to
    goals
  • Ability to work in a small office
  • Have an outgoing and pro-active personality

Desirable skills:

  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office
  • Overseas study experience
  • Work experience

Employment Basis:
This is a full-time, ongoing role.

Package:

Salary:
The starting salary for this role is $36,000.

Bonuses:
The Assistant Student Coordinator will work to Key Performance Indicators
(KPIs) and targets. Bonuses may be paid after each intake (July and December),
subject to performance and business results.

Shares:
AIM Overseas has an Employee Share Incentive Scheme, with E-class shares issued
to current employees for every year of service.

Superannuation:
Super will be paid at 10%, which is above national standard.
