Position Description:
Reporting to the CRSPT Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Manager, the
M&E Officer will be based in Lindi and initially will lead the monitoring,
evaluation and learning agenda for the education and health programmes. The
successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing
rigorous M&E systems to track progress, learning, and success, training
project staff on M&E, and collaborate in the dissemination of information
to a range of stakeholders.
Qualifications/Experience:
· A degree in Social Sciences, Bio-Statistics or
related degree, with practical experience in the monitoring and evaluation
particularly in education and health;
· A minimum of 5 years relevant professional
experience with at least 3 years implementing M&E within a development
context in East Africa;
· Extensive knowledge of Results Based Management
(RBM), including how to implement M&E systems;
· Demonstrated ability in survey design and
implementation using quantitative and/or qualitative methodologies for
programme learning and evaluation;
· Demonstrated capacity to write results-based donor
reports;
· Experience in the development of data collection
tools and systems for entry, analysis, and storage of qualitative and
quantitative data (e.g. Ms Access, SPSS, or others);
· Strong interpersonal skills and experience in
leadership positions;
· Ability to work unsupervised and in a team;
· Excellent written and verbal English and Kiswahili.
· Willing to relocate and be permanently based in
the Lindi office for the duration of the contract
