Africare Field Office Logistician Job Vacancy in Liberia

Position : Field Office Logistician
Reports To : Administrative/Finance Officer
Duty Station : Nimba County

The Logistician will provide support to the Sanniquellie and Saclepea Field Offices by performing assets and vehicle management, procurement, and technical support functions for the office. S/he will also work with the clinic staff to assist them in designing and implementing sustainable and efficient logistics management plans.

Specific responsibilities include:
Keep track of all Africare/Liberia assets movement;•
Receive reports of field assets management;•
Assist facilities in designing and implementing sustainable and efficient logistics management plans;•
Ensure routine maintenance and repairs of all EPHS project vehicles;•
Assign vehicles to program staff with the approval of Medical Director;•
Keep accurate track of daily vehicle movement and logbook;•
Track accurately all vehicle repair and routine maintenance costs;•
Ensure the availability of petroleum products at all times;•
Supervise Africare drivers based in the field.•
• Collect pro-forma invoices based on requests and specification of materials to be procured locally as per Africare’s procurement policy and procedures;
Provide project support/coordination;•
Work• with the Supply Chain Manger in providing logistical support to distribute drugs and medical supplies and commodities to EPHS facilities in a timely manner in order to meet the performance-based target indicators set by MOHSW/Africare;
Review the physical• infrastructure (buildings, equipment, grounds, wells, disposal equipment) of the EPHS Nimba health facilities and assesses their status with respect to MOHSW accreditation standards;
Compile monthly fuel and vehicle usage and infrastructure status reports;•
Any other tasks as may be required.•

Qualification
A University Degree in Procurement or Administration or equivalent from a recognized University or College•
At least 5 to 7 years of logistics/procurement related duties with proven track record•
Demonstrated excellent communication skills (oral• & written) which requires good judgment, tact, and ethical values
Ability to use a wide variety of office equipment•
Advance knowledge of computer packages is essential but not required•
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work load, set and meet deadlines, handle multiple tasks simultaneously and attend to detail
Strong interpersonal skills•
