KEY RESULT AREAS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Train Mechanics both in classroom and workshop scenario.
• Coordinate the training of and supervision with regards to all IMTT students when on site.
• Perform safety checks on all mechanical equipment correctly.
• Conduct in-house training on faultfinding by means of mechanical and Hydraulic circuit drawings.
• Conduct in-house training and simulations with all mechanical students.
• Train and coach all students to adhere to all safety, health, environmental, mechanical and other company policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Train and coach students so as to read, understand and design mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematic drawings and to apply in practice.
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS
Education Requirements:
• FTC certificate in the Mechanical trade
• 3 Years Experience in training Surface and U/G Mechanics/Fitters
Experience Requirements:
• Knowledge and Exposure to:
o Mechanical Fault Finding
o Schematic designs
o Sound Knowledge of mechanical trade theory
o Sound knowledge of training and assessment techniques
• Good communication skills in both Swahili and English
• Knowledge of Mechanical Theory and Mechanical machines used on an Underground Gold Mine as well as Gold Plant Process Plant
• Teaching and Training skills
• A strong personal commitment to teach and implement the Mechanical trade, with the ability to foster strong safety culture among students.
• Ability to work with people from a wide range of nationalities and cultures.
