The overall objective of this position is to effectively Supervise Manage and Control the HME section at NMGM.
KEY RESULT AREAS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The effective management, maintenance and continuous improvement of:
Ensure all African Barrick Gold safe work practices are observed and implemented in the HME department
Ensure preparation and execution of maintenance plans and schedules are implemented on the required dates and times
Ensure HME maintenance groups perform to pre determined performance measures in Safety, availability, reliability and cost.
Supervising the training and development and localisation plans for the HME team
Ensure all cost are controlled on a day to day basis
Efficient organizing of personnel time/schedule.
Inspection and evaluation of all relevant equipment
Foster and implement all Barrick core values
Ensure all operations equipment requirements are met
Ensure Contractors work according to ABG Standards and Policies.
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS
Education Requirements:
Diesel mechanic with caterpillar training
Minimum of five (5) years supervisory experience in a mining operation
Computer literate
Expatriate experience in developing country
