The overall objective of this position is to effectively Supervise Manage Coach and guide all staff in Engineering Services Department
KEY RESULT AREAS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The effective management, maintenance and continuous improvement of the Engineering Services Department
Be a leader of Safety, Raise safety awareness and ensure all Safety aspects are implemented and documented
Ensure preparation and execution of maintenance plans and schedules are implemented on the required dates and times
Ensure ES maintenance groups perform to pre determined performance measures in Safety, availability, reliability and costs.
Ensure all training and development of ES staff is implemented
Ensure all cost are controlled on a day to day / month to month basis
Engage with all North Mara mine departments and sections ensuring all customer requirements are met
Regularly review and appraise the structure of the Engineering Services team in terms of its ability to meet short and long term goals and objectives , and initiate appropriate changes
Foster and implement all Barrick core values
Ensure all operations equipment requirements are met
Ensure Contractors work according to ABG Standards and Policies.
Set up and control yearly monthly budgets
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Electrical / mechanical background or qualification
Minimum of five (5) years supervisory experience in a mining operation
Computer literate
Expatriate experience in developing country
Project Management
Workshop Management
Demonstrated team management skills from within a multinational engineering environment
