ACDI/VOCA has approximately 81 projects in 46 countries and revenues of over $110 million. ACDI/VOCA and its partners, Project Concern International (PCI), John Snow International (JSI), and Making Cents International, developed a comprehensive action plan to bolster food security in Liberia by addressing the following technical areas: the promotion of sustainable livelihood strategies; improved health and nutrition; and support to interventions to increase access to and quality of education. The project will focus on these three objectives with the aim to reduce food insecurity among vulnerable rural populations in six districts in Bong and Nimba counties.

Purpose
The Commodity Distributor is the key logistics interface between the commodities we distribute and the beneficiaries we serve.

Duties and Responsibilities
– Distribute all Food Aid Commodities to the targeted beneficiaries;
– Work with the Food Monitors setting up FDPs in the communities ensuring food aid committees are set up and trained on proper storage of commodities;
– Ensure communities are clear on their roles and responsibilities and risks in the event food is misused or diverted;
– Conduct physical inventors prior to the start of any distribution;
– Ensure that only targeted beneficiaries or their designated recipient with an official COMU issued ration card receives food;
– Reconciles all distributions within 24 hours of distribution and compiles documentation for review by the Lead County Logistician;
– Ensure Community Food Aid Committees maintain proper files;
– Informs Commodity and Operations Manager of any discrepancies or suspicious activities in the field.

Required Qualifications
– A t least 3 years of work experience in a Food Aid and commodity reporting;
– Fluency in English and a local language;
– Knowledge of MS Excel;
– Possess a high degree of integrity and honesty;
– Excellent oral and written communication skills;
– Class D Driver’s License;
– Ability and willingness to ride a motorcycle off road.
