ACDI/VOCA Chief of Party Job Vacancy in Rwanda

We are seeking Chief of Party candidates for an
anticipated multiyear, USAID-funded Feed the Future project in Rwanda. The
project will build on the successes of the ongoing Rwanda Post Harvest Handling
and Storage (PHHS) program. The follow-on program will address post-harvest
inefficiencies for targeted staple crops. The program will link farmers to
storage facilities and stimulate private sector investment in construction and
management of post-harvest equipment and warehousing.
Responsibilities:
• Provide overall program management, develop a
strong, coherent technical vision and initiate innovative strategies across the
program.
• Provide technical leadership on improved
aggregation, post-harvest handling and storage; market linkages; trade
facilitation; business-enabling environment; and other activities that promote
value chain competitiveness and food security.
• Manage relationships with local organizations,
private sector stakeholders and government bodies.
• Supervise program operations, technical and
administrative personnel, and preparation of periodic written and oral reports
to USAID and ACDI/VOCA headquarters.
• Ensure effective contract management, reporting,
communications and relationship management with USAID.
Qualifications:
• M.S., M.B.A., or other post-graduate degree in
trade, agricultural development, institutional development or other relevant
field.
 • Minimum of
10 years of progressive work experience, preferably in Africa.
• At least 10 years of progressively responsible
supervisory work experience, preferably on large and complex USAID-funded contracts.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Fluency in English and French preferred.
