ACDI/VOCA Chief of Party Job Vacancy in Rwanda

Job Description
We are seeking Chief of Party candidates for an
anticipated multiyear, USAID-funded Feed the Future project in Rwanda called
Private Sector Driven Agricultural Growth (PSD-AG). This project will increase
smallholder incomes by promoting private sector investments that contribute to
transforming agriculture into a market-oriented, competitive, and high-value
sector.


Responsibilities:

  •  Provide overall program management,
    develop a strong, coherent technical vision, and initiate innovative
    strategies across the program. 
  •  Provide technical leadership on
    agribusiness, trade, and private sector development.
  • Manage relationships with host-country public
    agencies, ministries, and private sector advocacy organizations.
  • Develop commercially oriented partnerships
    with private sector stakeholders and domestic, regional, and international
    investors. 
  • Design public-private partnerships, initiate policy
    reform, and facilitate public-private dialogue.
  • Supervise program operations, technical and
    administrative personnel, and preparation of periodic written and oral
    reports to USAID and ACDI/VOCA headquarters.
  • Ensure effective contract management, reporting,
    communications, and relationship management with USAID.
Qualifications:
  • M.S., M.B.A., or other post-graduate degree in
    trade, agricultural development, institutional development or other
    relevant field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive work experience,
    preferably in Africa.
  • At least 10 years of progressively responsible
    supervisory work experience, preferably on large and complex USAID-funded
    contracts.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
