Junior School is seeking expressions of interest from experienced and qualified
Band Conductors to lead the Junior School Bundarra (Beginner) Band and Concert
Band and to join our large and dynamic music program.

This
role involves leading our highly motivated Year 3-6 girls enrolled in the
Junior School Band programs before school on Monday mornings and on Thursdays
at lunchtimes. Extended music tutoring opportunities may be available.

Accountabilities
- Instructing:
- Strong
knowledge of repertoire and ability to select programs appropriate to the
standard and development of the ensemble and prepare Bands for performance
opportunities - Attend
and lead weekly rehearsals - Create
a friendly and supportive environment where students are challenged to
strive for excellence - Develop
the student’s sense of musicality and appreciation of music - Maintain
register of student attendance - Maintain
library and comply with the Australian Copyright Act and the AMCOS
agreement - Submit
a timesheet fortnightly to the Music Secretary - Attend
staff meetings as required

- Adhere
to the Abbotsleigh Code of Conduct. A friendly, courteous and reliable
manner is expected of all staff - Abbotsleigh
is a smoke-free environment, and smoking is not permitted on the premises. - Staff
are permitted to use the sports facilities at Abbotsleigh, including the
gym, tennis courts and Aquatic Centre
