Experienced General Surgeon required to provide effective Specialist General Surgery services to the Northern NSW Region. Your role includes elective and emergency theatre lists, acute on-call work, and privately referred outpatient consultancy/procedural service at the hospital, or in your own private rooms. Participation in teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate students is also required. Work will occur in both the public and private sector, and will be situated in the Northern NSW Tablelands.
Qualifications and Experience
You will have Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) and/or other specialist recognition.
You must be eligible to register as a Specialist with the Medical Board of Australia and have extensive post-graduate clinical experience in General Surgery. .
The position is available either as a Staff Specialist or Visiting Medical Officer in General Surgery.
This position will offer you the opportunity to work in both the public and private sectors plus also the opportunity to teach and to become involved with the University of New England and the Joint Medical Program
Your position will require you to undertake high quality elective and emergency General Surgical service to the communities of Northern Tablelands. This will include elective and emergency lists, privately referred outpatient consultancy/procedural service, and participation in the General Surgery
