One of Australia’s most dynamic civil, mining and construction contractors who emphasize a strong focus on their people and culture have an opening for a Project Engineer in coastal Northern NSW. They have a strong presence in NSW & Queensland and continue to expand into different regions handling projects such as: Highway upgrades, transport infrastructure, and expanding into the mining infrastructure industry. A dual position exists within their construction delivery team and estimating department for a highly professional Project Engineer. While onsite you will work closely with the client and site staff ensuring RTA specifications / Quality Assurance are met and that the program is followed. While sometime will be shared in the estimating department to boost your familiarity with the breakdown of how a project is priced.
On site you will report to the Project Manager and within your estimating duties you will report to the Pre Contracts Manager. The two roles will involve:
• Planning & programming
• Review of contract documentation
• Monitoring costs against budget
• Contract administration
• Managing engineers & site staff
• Pricing and quotes
• Using estimating software
