The South Queensland Operating Centre is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified Senior Pipeline Designer to join the Oil and Gas group. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be challenged working across a wide span of service groups, managing a variety of projects ensuring key deadlines are delivered on schedule. On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for planning and monitoring of the documentation production whilst ensuring internal co-ordination of details, along with consistency and quality of drawing output.
This key position will require an experienced designer (minimum 8+ years of experience) to motivate and mentor a busy team of individuals. You will possess exceptional communication skills and the ability to promote a collaborative approach to achieve business goals. This is a stimulating position where you will have the opportunity to be part of a large Oil and Gas team, working on projects based nationally and internationally.
Key skills required:
• Proven experience within consultancy covering the management of multiple projects ensuring key deliverables are achieved
• Working knowledge of Autoplant with extensive knowledge of pipeline design projects
• Preparing drawings and other associated forms of data in a clear and concise manner using the design input provided
• Working to corporate, client and project specific procedures, standards and work instructions
The successful applicant will have a proven track record in working across multi-disciplinary fields and hold relevant qualifications with a minimum of 8 years related experience. This role will require someone to work without any supervision in regard to drafting or design leadership tasks and the ability to meet challenging, multiple deadlines for a broad range of projects.
