SPARQ Solutions is partnering with Paxus to recruit a Senior Project Manager to provide expert project management on large and complex ICT projects. Calling on your extensive experience in delivering ERP and/or Workforce Automation projects you will play a key role in the successful delivery of projects on-time, within budget and ensuring they meet business and project objectives.
Key duties will include but not be limited to:
• Produce and manage project budgets and ensure all project costing information is current and accurate.
• Produce risk management assessment for all phases of the projects under their control and assist project managers in the development of risk assessments for their projects.
• Specify job dimensions, responsibilities, key relationships and required skills of project resources and ensure adequate resources are available to meet project demands.
• Manage application development actives provided by project resources.
• Manage other Project Managers as assigned, ensuring they deliver effective project management services.
• Day to day management of assigned project resources.
• Actively contribute to the improvement of processes and methodology.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to other project managers and Projects Delivery team members as required.
• Assist in the training and development of all staff in project methods and appropriate development and support practices.
• Facilitate project delivery quality management and lead the development of methods and processes that will ensure quality outcomes.
• Participate in key business unit meetings and planning sessions to build tighter integration
• Take an active role in group and business unit planning.
• Interpret financial and cost information including the preparation of project financial reporting.
• Manage the induction and training of new staff, contractors and consultants if required.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities in the provision of services to Clients and the delivery of projects and support development activities.
To be considered for this role it is essential that you possess the following:
• Demonstrated extensive experience in successfully managing complex ICT projects to meet cost, time, quality, and scope, in at least one of the following areas: ERP and/or Workforce Automation.
• Demonstrated experience in managing all phases of the project lifecycle from concept through to close out.
• Proven track record of leading project managers’ and providing effective coaching, mentoring and support.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects including their inter-dependencies, along with the ability to manage a mix of internal and external resources.
• Demonstrated experience in leading people including building working relationships, teamwork, managing change, conflict resolution, leadership, time management, delegation and process improvement.
• Ability to read, interpret, reconcile and report on project financial data.
The following experience is desirable
• In depth knowledge of project management, application development and support processes.
• In depth knowledge of business process methodology and documentation.
• Experience in project management tools such as Artemis.
• Detailed knowledge of ITIL, PMBOK and Prince2 methodologies
