This large coal Miner is looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to provide technical support to key longwall projects throughout Queensland. Base in Brisbane you will contribute to the long term success and direction of large scale projects whilst benefitting from excellent career development and experience.
Reporting to the Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for;
– Overseeing the support for execution and operational activities relating to mechanical engineering aspects of projects
– Contribute technical advice to the evaluation and introduction of longwall projects
– Ensure the close management, reporting and review of budgets and schedules
– Assist in the management and development of strategies for effective project execution
– Identify and manage relevant engineering study outcomes according to plan
Ideally you be tertiary qualified in mechanical engineering with solid hands on experience in an underground coal environment, specifically with longwall projects. You will be effective and experienced at building working relationships with your team and consultants as well a sound project management knowledge.
