University of New England Executive Officer Job Vacancy in Australia

Research Services facilitates and supports the
University’s research effort through provision of administrative services and
support to manage, develop and promote research, research training, knowledge
exchange and innovation. The Executive Officer will work under broad direction
from the Research Director, Research Services and in close collaboration with
the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research), and senior Research Services staff.

This is a senior administrative position within Research Services, providing
support as required to both the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) and the
Research Director. This position liaises closely with the Senior Research
Support and Senior HDR Support Officers and widely with academic and
non-academic units within the University in relation to management of research
and higher degree research training.

The Executive Officer will have responsibility for:
• Providing senior level support to the DVCR and Research Director in all
aspects of the Directorate’s planning and operations.
• General administrative management of the Directorate.
• Financial management.
• Human resource services/operations.
• Quality control processes of the Directorate.

Applicants must have high level interpersonal and communication skills and the
ability to develop, redefine and interpret procedures and policies relevant to
the administrative area. The successful applicant will be a team player who has
excellent organisational, written and computer skills.

Salary: $71,563 to $80,126 per annum (HEO Level 7)
plus 17% employer superannuation and optional salary packaging
