of Liquor, Gaming & Racing (OLGR)
 supports community safety
and wellbeing by regulating and promoting responsible liquor, gaming, racing
and charitable industry practice, and the responsible management of events.

The Role:
The Project Officer is responsible for the
management of grants administration processes ensuring a seamless transfer of
funds to recipients as well as the development and maintenance of relationships
with key internal and external stakeholders and funds recipients. The Project
Officer would ensure senior officers of the department and the Responsible
Gaming Fund Trustees have all the necessary information to be able to make
informed decisions and would also be responsible for supervising the
administration staff. In addition, a key focus of the Project Officers role is
to contribute to initiatives which are designed to assist and support
government and non-government activities to reduce gambling-related harm in the
community, participating in committees, working parties or teams.
The Requirements:
The successful candidate for this position will
possess relevant industry experience including extensive knowledge in
government fiscal management and reporting processes. Drawing on your
experience, you will be able to demonstrate high level client engagement skills
including an ability to maintain supportive relationships with key external
stakeholders and deliver services that meet and exceed client expectations,
strong communication skills for the interpretation of information and excellent
project management, organisational, analytical and problem solving skills for
the development of solutions. Previous experience in the supervision of staff
would be highly regarded.
A valid driver’s licence is required for this position.
