Against this backdrop they are now looking to
appoint a suitably experienced Senior Customs Broker/ Operator with

Freight forwarding experience with the ability to lead, develop and run a newly
developed department.
Reporting to the Director your key
responsibilities will see you:

- Dealing with ports and agents mainly in Hong
Kong and China - Costing and negotiation of freight coming into
Australia - Taking care of customer clearance(s)
- Problem solving when required
- Import documentation and ensuring a smooth
transition - Providing guidance to classifiers when
required - Training of staff in order tracking and
management - Develop, recruit for a newly created
department - General Customs Brokers duties as they arise
The successful applicant will have the following
attributes:

- A minimum of 5 years experience within a
similar role - Existing relationships with overseas agents
and dealing with ports within freight forwarding - Although not essential experience with ports
in Shanghai or Hong Kong will be viewed favourably - Be seeking a leadership role
- Have the ability to develop, lead and run a
new department - Customs Broker Licence
- Experience with ICS or EDI will be viewed favourably
- Implement any process improvements as you see
fit - Strong verbal and written communication skills
