TRANSPORTSUPERVISOR
Due to company growth, this well sought after
company is looking for an enthusiastic and organised Transport Supervisor to
join the team. Reporting to the Operations manager, you will be primarily
responsible for undertaking the planning and co-ordination of service delivery
to achieve customer operational requirements through best operating practice
SUMMARY:
The Transport Supervisor will be expected to take a
high level of responsibility for the day to day running of logistics and fo

r
driving and controlling progress towards defined objectives. The task will
involve a mixture of “hands on” responsibilities together with a focus on
working with staff to build a productive, innovative and “results accountable”
team culture. The Transport Supervisor will provide efficient and effective
logistical programs to service customers daily and ensures driver and customer
feedback is recorded and actioned. The Transport Supervisor will ensure the
human resources and the necessary vehicles and equipment are available and
organised for the delivery of the service. The Transport Supervisor will have a
thorough knowledge of the QA manual and will follow all policies and
procedures.

The responsibilities for this full time role
include:
• Drive the ongoing implementation of Quality
Assurance systems;
• Organise and monitor staff to ensure the delivery
of services is maintained to the highest standards, in accordance with the
Business Plan and Policy and procedures.
• Work with industry, training providers and other
stakeholders to ensure appropriate services are delivered to meet market needs;
• Responsible for weekly stock takes and monthly
run audits;
• Implement and monitor service delivery practices
to ensure value for employers, employees and other clients;
• Implement information and evaluation practices to
ensure that all staff are accountable for results;
• Identify and develop opportunities to further
employment & training objectives; Essential Qualifications
• Hold and maintain a valid driver’s licence.
• Able to prepare written and electronic reports.
• Hold basic computer skills in word and excel.
• Have a sound knowledge and experience of
logistical mapping.
• Have interpersonal skills that allow respectful
communication.
• Possess competent skills for conflict management.
• Maintain a level of behaviour and courtesy that
promotes the company.
• Maintain confidentiality in all company matters.
• Be punctual, presentable and courteous at all
times.
• Work flexible hours
