Volunteer
and Tour Coordinator

Adelaide Oval SMA
Ltd are seeking a passionate, well-organised individual to join our team as the
Volunteer and Tour Coordinator.

The Volunteer and
Tour Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination and management of the

Volunteer program and Group tour booking for the Adelaide Oval Tours and
Museums program..

This position
reports to the Tourism and Programs Manager in the Commercial Team. The
Volunteer and Tour Coordinator will work closely with the Adelaide Oval
Volunteers and Stadium Concierge.

This position is a
part time contract position, working approximately 25 hours across a flexible
roster. Hours of work may include some weekends.

Key responsibilities
of this role include:

  • Recruitment
    and induction of Volunteers;
  • Creation
    and maintenance of volunteer training programs and manuals.
  • Creation,
    maintenance and communication of the monthly roster for all volunteers for
    the Adelaide Oval Tours and Museums program;
  • Confirm
    and brief all volunteers for Adelaide Oval tours and ensure roles are
    appropriately communicated in a timely fashion;
  • Consult
    on volunteer relation matters and provide consultation on retention
    initiatives within the tours and museums program;
  • Be
    proactive in shaping and fostering a Volunteer culture based on fun, value
    and teamwork including volunteer events and benefits;
  • Maintain
    and manage volunteer database;
  • Ensure
    regular communication with volunteers to maintain the culture of inclusion
    and information sharing;
  • Coordinate
    and confirm bookings for Group Tours of Adelaide Oval;
  • Provide
    group booking schedule and availability to Stadium Concierge for tentative
    booking coordination.

This position
provides the opportunity to be directly involved in the development of the
Adelaide Oval Volunteer Program and the implementation of procedures related to
the Adelaide Oval Tours and Museums.

Applications

The successful
candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, be well-organised and have
good attention to detail.  

Applicants must have
experience in a similar role working with volunteers. Applicants will ideally
have a demonstrable history of Volunteer management including training,
rostering and problem solving. The ability to work autonomously and proactively
is critical to this position.
