Water - Work for a DFAT program, Australian aid
- Based in Honiara, Solomon Islands
of the Australian bilateral program between the Governments of Australia and
Solomon Islands, funded by DFAT, Australian aid program.
As the Water Supply Maintenance Adviser, you will be based at the Solomon Water
office and will be responsible for supporting the establishment of new and
improved maintenance and management related systems and procedures that will
improve water supply system service delivery, efficiency, sustainability and
manageability, in line with the Solomon Water Development plan.
This position will require an individual who possesses proven experience in the
management of the maintenance function for water supply systems (especially
borehole sources, pumping stations, an
d components in the water transmission
and distribution networks) including the direct management experience of
maintenance staff. Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical
Engineering, or a similar relevant discipline are essential.
This position is a Long Term Adviser position for nine months duration. It is
classified as Discipline Group C, Level 3 under the Adviser Remuneration
Framework (ARF), depending on skills and experience. For further information on
