and automotive experience to join and oversee our multi dimensional
manufacturing operations.
Reporting
directly to the General Manager you will ensure all products & services are
produced efficiently, at high quality, right quantity and cost, on time, to the
satisfaction of the customer.

The
successful candidate will have experience in a similar role, experience as a
1st or 2nd tier automotive industry supplier would be advantages along with a
good understanding of a fabrication jobbing environment as you will be
overseeing a multi-faceted production team including fabrication, welding,
upholstery, assembly, stores and purchasing.

Your
job responsibilities will include:

- Managing the factory
identifying training and development needs and implementing measures that
addresses the needs of the teams and the business. - Ensuring teams are adequately
briefed and understand weekly and daily production requirements overall
and by section. - Managing labour and overhead
cost to maximise profit while maintaining OH&S. - Promoting excellent
communication amongst teams both within production and across other
departments. - Ensuring the machinery is
maintained - Undertaking daily monitoring of
staff levels to maintain effective production levels - Ensuring all correct operation
procedures for equipment is undertaken by all staff. - Develop, train and mentor staff
to exceed all KPI’s. - Motivating and uniting the team
to strive for excellence.
The
ideal person for this role must have the following:

- Hands on management experience.
- Trade and or Degree
qualifications - Excellent customer service
skills - Business acumen and budgetary
experience - Experience in 6 Sigma, Lean or
JIT
