The position of Program Manager – Petroleum Licensing
& Specialist Services provides a key role within the Earth Resources
Tenements Unit, through the high level effective and efficient management of
geothermal, petroleum, carbon storage and pipeline tenement activities in
accordance with legislative requirements. The position is responsible for
the regulatory delivery of high capital value and highly politically sensitive
projects within tight timeframes under minimal supervision.

The role requires the candidate to apply high level
organisation skills, systematic thinking, and the ability to identify
opportunities to improve business effectiveness and achieve best practice
outcomes. Additionally, the candidate will need to understand legislative
provisions and procedural requirements, and be self-motivated (with limited
supervision) to achieve identified outcomes.

culture. Staff supervised by the position are responsible for a wide
range of functions including tenement administration of geothermal, petroleum,
carbon storage and pipeline legislation, while others are responsible for
providing GIS services and Native Title expertise to the Branch.
