Due
to ongoing growth in our business, an opportunity has become available for a
Business Development Manager to manage growth of our power and gas portfolio in
NSW. The role will suit an individual with thorough knowledge of the
Transmission and Distribution space and significant experience working with key
local power and gas clients. The primary focus will be in developing the
positioning strategy with these clients and ultimately winning business with
them.

Key
responsibilities of the role will initially include:

- Establish,
grow and develop the business and revenue stream in accordance with the
annual Power and Gas business plan - Target
profitable opportunities in the energy sector with a primary focus on the
NSW power market - Establish
a deep understanding of key clients supported by a customer relationship
management strategy - Identify,
develop, qualify and capture, opportunities for DownerTenix to submit
targeted Expression of Interests (EOIs) and Tender Submissions (RFTs) - Manage,
lead and develop win strategies for relevant submissions, and
communicate/implement these strategies with the bid development team - Liaise
with Operations & Bid Managers to ensure that all resources will be
available for significant bidding opportunities, and to ensure the
successful and timely submission of all bids - Assist
the Bid Manager to prepare all approval documentation necessary for the
bid submission, in accordance with the DownerTenix Project Lifecycle
Management process - Effectively
liaise with and guide the bid development team through the production of
the bid submission - Represent
DownerTenix at trade shows, develop a “thought leader” presence,
present at technical forums, and conferences as required
Key
required skills and experience to be successful in the role:

- Relevant
tertiary qualifications - Proven
industry experience working in the NSW Electricity sector, and a broad
understanding of the Eastern Australia gas market - Deep
experience in the electricity industry, the market participants,
regulatory environment and challenges confronting the sector - A
sound understanding of Transmission and Distribution network assets and
the role each asset performs in the power system. - Solid
understanding of how growth opportunities will be operationalized and can
ensure this knowledge is represented in marketing, sales and bid planning.
- Extensive
network of relationships across the target sectors - An
ability to develop new client engagement plans - Authentic
and personable account management/customer relationship skills - A
combination of commercial and operational acumen - Proficient
in project management methods and techniques and asset management
principles - Well
developed presentation and negotiation skills - Demonstrated
knowledge of, and commitment to, relevant Safety, Quality and
Environmental legislation and practices
