The Position:
Several new positions are now available with Pegasystems’ Software Engineering
division.. We are seeking applicants who are bright, technically-minded, and
have a strong software development background. In the fast-paced, collaborative
environment that Pega offers, our Software Engineers are able to quickly
develop thoughtful designs and apply innovative technologies to develop the
best technical solutions.
In this
role, you will:
- Work
collaboratively with team members to design, develop, test, and document
features, including the design and development of high-quality software - Provide
technical assistance to advance the capabilities of products and resolve
complex issues - Leverage
Java, JEE, and Pegasystems Rules Process Commander in new and innovative
ways to help create Pegasystems’ proprietary framework

The Person:
Candidates must have a strong technical and computer science background and come
prepared and ready to learn and explore Pegasystems technology. Software
Engineers are expected to think independently, but also must value teamwork as
they design and develop first-rate software in a collaborative setting.
Qualifications
will include:
- BA/BS
degree in Computer Science or similar degree - Solid
understanding of, and practical experience with, the Software Development
Life Cycle (SDLC) - Strong
object-oriented design and development skills - Strong
knowledge of algorithms and data structures - Experience
working with different JEE technologies - Fluency
with web standards - Knowledge
of and/or willingness to work within Scrum Methodology - Ability
to work collaboratively in a team to brainstorm, plan and develop new
features
