Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) is now recruiting for an Aircraft Maintenance
Engineer – Non Destructive Testing (Progressive) based in Williamtown. 
 

The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer NDT is to perform Non Destructive
Testing (NDT) inspections in support of maintenance, modification, manufacture
and assembly activities on the F/A-18 Hornet aircraft and related aircraft
components IAW AS3669-2006.   
 

This role involves the following key responsibilities:  

  • Perform  non-destructive inspections as
    well as maintenance, service, repair, test and fault diagnosis of Non
    Destructive Testing (NDT) equipment as required
  • Perform routine and direct supervision of
    other NDT staff activities as required
  • Perform base trade activities as required
    (Avionics (AN), Mechanical (MC), Structural (SR) as appropriate)
     

BDA requires all applicants to be able to demonstrate the following
essential qualifications: 
 

  • Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics (AN),
    Mechanical (MC), Structural (SR) or equivalent trade qualifications
  • Non-Destructive Technician qualifications
    meeting the required competencies of the DEF (AUST) 9022 and
    Non-destructive Testing – Qualifications and Registration of Personnel –
    Aerospace AS 3669, (level 2)
  • Australian Institute for Non-destructive
    Testing (AINDT) NDT Aerospace Sector qualification in LPT, MPT, ECT, UT.
