The National E-Health
Transition Authority (NEHTA) was established by the Council of Australian
Governments (COAG) to develop better ways of electronically collecting and
securely exchanging health information. NEHTA is the lead organisation
supporting the national vision for eHealth in Australia.

NEHTA is currently seeking people with a desire to make a difference to health
outcomes, who are passionate about the use of eHealth to meet these goals and
have the relevant experience to deliver solutions in a highly complex
stakeholder and technical environment.
As
a Senior Business Analyst you will work in conjunction with other specialist
resources and subject matter experts (including clinicians) from across NEHTA
and the broader Health sector, supporting the development of project
deliverables, program objectives and NEHTA’s mission.

The
purpose of this position is to provide high-quality professional risk and
business analysis services to specific project/domain teams. This will
involve acting as intermediary between the project/domain team, other NEHTA
project streams and external stakeholders to ensure that requirements, business
processes and risk assessments are documented, designed and delivered.

Accountabilities

- Lead
the practice of obtaining the requirements from users, customers and other
stakeholders - Lead
the process of business process design and risk assessment within specific
domain areas - Work
with the process of use case design and the practice of artefact
traceability - Facilitate
stakeholder workshops and ensure the analysis of business operations - Contribute
to the content of internal and external communications - Work
with the process of test case design - Participate
in the development of gap analysis - Contribute
to the process of information design and modelling and to the
identification, coordination and management of test cases - Continually
achieve a range of high quality project deliverables
To
be successful you will have:

- At
least 5 – 8 years of experience in IT, with at least 4 years’ experience
in a business environment coupled with tertiary level qualifications in
Business, Science, Engineering or Economics - Business
analysis experience specifically in the generation of business
requirements - Knowledge
of business process modelling - Strong
ability to converse with both end-users and IT employees at all levels of
the organisation - A
good understanding of all aspects of the systems/software development
lifecycle - A
sound ability to analyse, isolate and interpret business needs and develop
appropriate technical solutions - Sound
technical specification writing/documentation and risk assessment skills - A
strong customer service focus along with excellent communication skills,
both written and verbal - The
right to live and work in Australia
Whilst
not essential, the following experience would be desirable:

- An
understanding of the UML and/or BPMN notation and experience with UML
and/or BPMN tooling - Familiarity
with requirements management software - Prior
involvement in the e-health sector - Technical
knowledge of programming, system design, IT infrastructure and database
concepts
