NICTA Stipend Scholarships are available for up to 3.5 years,
to an amount of $25,849 per annum.
The
Opportunity
We are seeking two
enthusiastic students to undertake two research topics in the area of Optimisation
entitled:
1. Incremental
Power Network Transformation with Uncertainty
2. Co-Optimisationof Power Network Operations and Renewable Investment
Successful scholarship
applicants will be supervised by at least one NICTA affiliated academic staff
member from the Faculty of Information Technology.
Candidate
Requirements
To be successful,
you will have an excellent academic track record, a bachelor’s degree with
First Class Honours in Computer Science/Information Technology/Electrical
Engineering /Applied Mathematics or qualification considered equivalent.
Candidates will be required to meet the Monash entry requirement which
include English language skills.
Applicants will be
considered provided they fulfil the criteria for PhD admission and scholarship
of Monash University and demonstrate excellent research capacity. You must be
awarded a Monash University scholarship to be eligible.

Remuneration
Scholarships are
available as Full, Partial and Top-Up living-stipends for up to 3.5 years, to
an amount of up to $25,392 per annum. Full stipends are paid at the same rate
as Australian Postgraduate Awards (APA) while top-ups for students who hold
other scholarships are currently set at $7,000 per annum.
