($101,764 – $113,975), plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and

(TfNSW) responsible for the development, procurement and
delivery of major transport infrastructure and fleet assets. TP
provides the knowledge, systems and services to deliver projects that meet
time, cost and quality objectives. We work to deliver innovative and
sustainable transport networks, enabling TfNSW to build an integrated
customer-focused transport system that connects people with places and
producers with markets, making New South Wales a better place to live and work.
Engineering Services is a centre of technical
excellence, responsible for maintaining currency of
engineering technology and developments. It works with Planning and Programs to
translate customer requirements into technical solutions for projects. It
also provides assurance that engineering designs on TfNSW
projects complies with relevant standards and assesses the competency of
personnel engaged in engineering design activities and the requirements of the Asset
Standards Authority (ASA). It does this through the
provision of engineering expertise via
technical managers, rail systems managers, and system assurance
engineers and through managing design contractors and solving
engineering problems.
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Engineering Services team for a
solutions-oriented and pragmatic Systems Assurance Engineer.
With a functional report through to the Systems Assurance Manager, the Systems
Assurance Engineer ensures that projects achieve the required functional and
safety outcomes by following requisite systems assurance processes.
Specifically, the Systems Assurance Engineer will:
- provide
guidance and support to projects in demonstrating compliance with relevant
systems assurance processes, engineering standards and technical and user
requirements, and in developing, documenting and evidencing appropriate
Safety Assurance arguments during all phases of the projects - perform
Systems Assurance reviews including submission of comments to demonstrate
compliance with Safety Assurance arguments and Goal Structuring Notation
(GSN) implementation - review
technical and safety assurance reports, risk assessments and other safety
related analysis and provide recommendations for improvement - manage
the preparation and development of project safety assurance reports,
statements and related documentation - conduct
risk assessments and manage transfer or risks and controls - have a
broad understanding of standards EN50126, EN50128 and EN50129 - possess
a working knowledge of using DOORS, a requirements management software
tool.
