The
City of Bunbury Works and Services Department is seeking a Manager Engineering
and Civil Operations.

This
position will lead, manage and develop department employees, services and
resources as well as, plan, develop and maintain practical and sustainable
engineering infrastructure.

The
responsibilities for this role include:

  • Monitor financial
    performance of the Engineering and Civil Operations Department.
  • Provide professional
    Engineering expertise in the operation of the technical, development
    approval and service delivery activities of the Engineering and Civil
    Operations Department.
  • Provide quality civil
    engineering designs in line with Council and stakeholder expectations.
  • Provide professional
    leadership, guidance and support to Engineering and Civil Operations
    employees.
  • Participate as a member
    of the Works and Services Management Team making a contribution to the
    effective and coordinated management of Engineering and Civil Operations.
  • Drives the Departments
    communication and consultation process to maximise stakeholder engagement.
  • Contribute to the
    development and review of the Strategic Community Plan, Long Term
    Financial Plan, Corporate Business Plan and Annual Budget.
  • Develop and report on
    the Engineering and Civil Operations Departmental Key Performance
    Indicators.
  • Develop and maintain
    effective partnerships and networks with the Local Community, Government
    bodies and Statutory Authorities.
  • Attendance at Council
    meetings, workshops and other official functions as required.
  • A commitment to the
    ongoing development of Continuous Improvement and Quality Management
    procedures.

The
key skills required for this role include:

  • Management experience.
  • Substantial experience
    in civil engineering and infrastructure
  • Highly development
    communication, interpersonal and negation skills.
  • Contract management.
  • Employee relations.

What
we offer

A
negotiated remuneration package of $119,025 to $135,450 gross per annum,
depending on experience and qualifications.

  • 3 to 5 year contract.
  • Full time appointment.
  • Council vehicle provided
    including private usage.
