Design role within Leading Civil Contractor
Diverse projects, big pipeline of work

Constructive Recruitment has an exciting new
role for a Civil Design Engineer to join the design team within a major civil
contractor with offices nationally. The company specializes in water, and
wastewater treatment plants and pipelines and is looking for an experienced
Senior level design engineer to oversee their design component.

The role:

This will be a design focused role, you will get to work on a diverse range of
projects and be the most senior within the team. The main responsibilities are
outlined below.

Design
of Concrete & Flexible Pavements
Structural
design of flexible and rigid pipelines
Rising
main and trunk watermain design
Sewer
pump station design, site works design, access ways, cut & fills,
drainage
Preparing
and submitting tenders, Expressions of Interest and relevant proposals
Inspecting
project sites
Obtaining
quotations from subcontractors and suppliers
Attending
post tender meetings with clients generating project specific bills of
quantities

Experience:

Minimum
5 years’ experience in a design based role
Relevant
tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering (Chartered or to be obtained
within first 6 months)
Experience
in water treatment and pipeline design is essential
Confident
with relevant software packages – particularly SPACE GASS, AutoCAD and 12D
Exceptional
time management and organisational skills to meet tight
deadlines
Excellent
communication skills. A team player
In
depth understanding of relevant industry codes including AS3600, AS3735,
AS2566
