The Master Builders
ACT is Canberra’s pea

k building and construction industry association and
represents the interests of commercial & residential builders, civil
contractors, suppliers/subcontractors and professionals.

Due to a supported
move into private practice by the current incumbent, a unique in-house career
opportunity is now available for a passionate, ambitious and talented IR Lawyer
who is looking to improve the building & construction industry and help
support the Canberra community and economy.

Internally, this
role is a key leadership position that reports directly to the Executive
Director and holds a seat at the Executive table to offer key policy,
compliance and governance advice on industrial laws.

Externally, the role
provides strategic industrial relations guidance to Canberra’s building &
construction industry. It offers members of the association clear, concise and
tailored employment law/industrial relations/workplace relations advice.
Assisting members with enterprise agreements will be a key focus of the role
over the next year.

This is a member and
industry engagement role and you will have the ability to communicate various
messages to a complex stakeholder group, to ensure continuity of the extremely
positive work and outcomes achieved over the last 2-3 years.

As a practicing
employment lawyer with extensive PQE, your building and construction industry
experience and network will add value with the ideals to have some commercial
capability to round out the value proposition.
