requirements.
We are currently
seeking an experienced, “hands on”, Manufacturing Engineer to assist
with the introduction of new business, as well as support existing production
requirements.
The successful
candidate will have experience in a similar manufacturing role, introducing new
products into production, implementing productivity improvements, and providing
hands on support to the production team.
Responsibilities
will include
- Assist
with preparation of quotes for new products and selection of suitable
production methods, - Introduce
new products into production, and prepare related documentation, - Liaise
with customers on technical issues, - Implement
productivity improvement initiatives, - Assist
in the resolution of quality issues and prepare quality submissions. - Trouble
shooting and repair of production equipment, - Assist
production with the set-up of new jobs, - Coordinate
preparation of prototypes, as well as design and preparation of jigs and
fixtures,
Key attributes
include
- A
manufacturing engineering background with hands on experience in
installing, setting up and programming production equipment, - Excellent
communication skills, - Excellent
mechanical aptitude, - Tertiary
qualification in Engineering (preferred), - Ability
to manage multiple tasks and projects, and work effectively in a team
environment, - An
understanding of lean manufacturing techniques, with a continuous
improvement focus, - Proficient
in the use of Microsoft Office products, - Experience
in hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, robotic weld cells and tool design would
be highly desirable, as would experience with inverters & AC & DC
control systems. - CAD
design and detailing skills. - A
