The opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a
Team Leader to lead a team of tradespeople at Hornsby Maintenance Centre to
undertake efficient inspection, servicing, modification, upgrades and repairs
of passenger trains, on time and within cost.
Reporting to the Maintenance Shift
Manager, the Team Leader will manage the performance, career and competency
development of team members whilst also engaging in the inspection, service,
overhaul and repair processes at the depot.
We are looking for an individual who
possesses a trade qualification in a Mechanical or Electrical stream (or alternatively
holds a Diploma of Engineering) and has previous experience leading and
mentoring technical teams in a medium to heavy engineering environment or high
speed manufacturing department.  Strong problem solving, analytical and
fault finding skills will be critical to the success of this role.
