The College of Design and Social Context (DSC) encompasses RMIT University’s
renowned architecture, art, communication, built environment, design, education
and social science disciplines and is comprised of seven schools.

The role and your responsibilities

The Senior Advisor Learning and Teaching will provide leadership, liaison and
support for contemporary tertiary learning and teaching at the DSC College
level for an allocated School within the College. The successful incumbent will
provide high level leadership and assistance in support of initiatives to
improve the quality of higher education (HE) and vocational education (VE)
program development, curriculum and assessment design and learning and teaching
practices, including the use of new technologies.

Skills & experience required

To be considered for this position it is expected that you bring expertise in
HE/VE curriculum design, development and assessment approaches with experience
in designing, implementing and leading education projects. Key to the position
will be your ability to forge collaborative relationships across organisational
boundaries and to connect and work with diverse teaching and academic staff. It
is expected that you have an understanding of the RMIT Learning and Teaching Academic
Plan and Strategy, and the RMIT program development and quality assurance
processes. In addition you will have a sound knowledge of the principles and
practices for quality assurance and learning and teaching.

Mandatory Qualification

A PhD in a relevant field and substantial experience
