Reporting
to the Operations Manager/Production Manager, your role and responsibilities
will include:

- Analysis
of current design concepts, processes and systems in place in order to
determine improved innovative solutions for efficiency and cost savings. - Auto
CAD modelling with the ability to produce detailed design and
documentation. - Concept
generation and mechanical problem solving. - Detailed
project design briefs and timeframes. - Researching
new products, solutions, materials, and manufacturing innovations. - Brainstorming
and sketching. - Designing
prototypes. - Verification
and testing. - Costing
analysis and bill of material. - Communicating
with suppliers. - Presenting
information to key stake holders in the business.
To
be considered for this role you will have:

- A
degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree
with 5 years minimum experience. - Strong
problem solving skills with the ability for identifying opportunities for
design improvement. - High
motivation and dedication. - Have
good communication skills both written and verbal. - Technically
minded ability, with the skill to multi-task and problem solve.
The
candidate will be provided with on the job training for the manufacturing
process, materials and tooling technology. Salary negotiable based on
experienced.
