water, waste-water, and telecommunications. Downer connects people and
communities through the operation and maintenance of water, power and gas
networks; construction of transmission and distribution networks, renewable
power generation, waste-water and water projects; and we also connect homes and
businesses with telecommunications.
Excellent long-term
career opportunities are now available for Field Crew Members to join our Gas
Networks & Services team. We have several roles available across numerous
regional Victoria depots. Our depots are located within the following areas of
Victoria:
- Ararat
- Bendigo
- Geelong
- Ballarat
- Woodend
- Warrnambool
- Hamilton
- Horsham
- Portland
- Colac
The role
predominately is responsible for construction and maintenance activities of gas
mains and services. You will work within a small crew in new and established
areas where existing assets (gas and power) are located so we’re seeking
individuals who have a high regard for safety and a strong commitment to
Downer’s Zero Harm culture.
About
you:
- Experience
gained within the gas distribution sector, and exposure to gas networks
& systems. - Experience
operating backhoes and excavators. - Construction
induction card. - Current
HR, MR or HC licence would be advantageous. - A
strong ‘team player’ with the proven ability to work efficiently with
others. - An
attitude that engages all individuals by way of clear communication and
effective interaction. - Ability
to problem solve and identify solutions. - A high
level of discipline and self-motivation, coupled with organisational and
time management skills. - Demonstrated
leadership that strives towards the commitment to Zero Harm.
