As a result of continuing
development
, our client, is now looking to add to their Category
Management team with an experienced Category Specialist.
This will be a hands on role with significant opportunity to influence strategy
and deliver cost savings and value add wins across the business. In
particular, you will exercise your advanced commercial acumen to play a pivotal
role in tenders, requests for proposal and contract negotiation, development
and execution.
You will:
Deliver
commercial and contractual advice across supplier and stakeholder functions;
Respond
to queries and establish category strategies;
End
to End Category management from Compile ITTs, Tender Evaluation Plans and
Negotiation Strategies thought to contract closure
Coordinate
bidding, evaluation, negotiation and awarding of contracts across set
categories;
Monitor
and analyse markets and negotiate optimal business arrangements;
Prepare
category action plans and monitor performance against plans;
Establish
contract and pricing models to achieve business objectives
Report
on the performance of the contracts within your category;
Develop,
execute, communicate, and implement fact-based, forward looking sourcing
strategies;
Identify
opportunities for contract improvement through analysis;
Implement
and establish acceptable commercial practice.
As an integral part
of this organisation you will be fully responsible for managing your
portfolio while you develop and deliver category strategies to facilitate key
drivers of cost.
The
Successful Candidate
You will be in the top percentile of your peer group and thrive on the
challenges that come your way. Ideally you will have cradle to grave category
experience from a resources or heavy industry background. Strong
problem solving skills are essential.
