Program
Coffey
International Development (Coffey) manages the Australia Awards in Mongolia
(the Program) on behalf of the Australian Government’s Department of Foreign
Affairs and Trade (DFAT). Coffey’s Mongolia team manages each stage of the
scholarships cycle, enabling DFAT to select qualified candidates from targeted
areas to study Master level courses at Australian Universities. The Program
aims to improve human resource capacity in the private and public sectors and
enhance opportunities for knowledge sharing and links between Australia and
Mongolia.

Adviser to provide management oversight to English language training courses
delivered under the Program.

The
Position
Position
The
English Language Training Adviser will advise the Program Manager and Country
Program Manager to ensure English language training is delivered to high
quality standards, with a focus on English for academic purposes and in
accordance with awardees’ needs. The Adviser will work closely with the in-Mongolia
English language training provider to monitor the performance and quality of
course delivery, as well as measuring awardee progress and satisfaction. The
adviser will provide strategic advice to improve the quality of courses and
class structures used by the provider.

Person
The
successful candidate will have tertiary qualifications in Education, TESOL,
Development Studies or other related field. Demonstrated knowledge of the
Australian tertiary system, including English language requirements is
essential. The person will have experience designing and evaluating large
English language training programs and proven experience developing and
maintaining positive and effective working relationships with diverse
stakeholders. Experience teaching and reviewing performance in English for
Academic purposes and knowledge of DFAT’s scholarship program is desirable.
Previous experience working in Mongolia or another developing country will be
highly regarded.
