Trobe University campus in Bundoora, 12km from Melbourne CBD, and accessible
via public transport.
Our services to customers include: storage for print materials, art works and
museum artefacts; shelf-ready processing of library resources (print and
digital) including physical processing and creation of catalogue records;
selection and acquisition of community language material for public libraries;
implementation of and support for third-party digital platforms and software
solutions; resource sharing solutions for academic libraries; an e-content data
analytics service and more.
CAVAL seeks a self-motivated, energetic and creative marketing graduate to
support its existing business development activities. The position will
work closely with the existing management team, and within the framework of the
defined business goals and Strategic Plan. This newly created position is
an outstanding opportunity for a new or recent graduate to co-ordinate a broad
range of marketing activities, and to build a marketing function from the
ground up.

tasks and responsibilities

- Event
management: working closely with the Manager, Member Services to coordinate
and manage key Member events and meetings; also Conference and other
industry related events; - Website:
maintain, manage and enhance CAVAL’s newly rebranded website, including
creating case studies, testimonials, and customer stories, and updating
the site with/to reflect current or upcoming CAVAL or industry
events; - Social
media: responsible for building and maintaining CAVAL’s social media
presence, including (but not limited to); Twitter, Facebook, blogs, and other
emerging or existing social media applications; - Digital
marketing: direct and oversee online marketing campaigns, new product
launches, email blasts in close collaboration with relevant CAVAL
Managers, and in line with CAVAL brand and strategic goals; - Marketing
collateral: update, maintain, manage the CAVAL brand and all marketing
collateral for conferences, customer visits, industry events; liaison with
external marketing service providers as required; - Input
into CAVAL’s communications strategies with a goal of more efficient and
effective internal and external communication with stakeholders
Skills
and experience
and experience
- Marketing
degree or similar relevant qualification - Some
marketing experience ideally in a related industry - Experience
in copywriting, web design, designing marketing campaigns, Customer
Relations Management systems (CRM) and other relevant skills and
applications - Exceptional
presentation, communication and interpersonal skills - Ability
to prioritise, manage multiple projects and deliver to agreed timelines - A
strong work ethic with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a
tight-knit team - Flexibility
– willingness to work offsite, undertake travel, work out of hours and
share responsibility for attending Member and other industry events
with Manager, Member Services and the Management Team - Drive,
energy, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude
