innovative, organised and fun loving Early Childhood Teacher with a gift for
working with Preschool children and a passion for mentoring and further
developing a supportive and experienced team? This is an exciting
opportunity for a Preschool Director to work full or part time in a community
run, not-for-profit preschool, in a beautiful bush setting at North Rocks,
situated in the Parramatta/Hills Region, North Western Sydney. The
Preschool is moving towards implementing a nature pedagogy focus with our
close
ness to the bush. Experience with this would be valuable.
North Rocks Uniting
Preschool is a small Preschool with a big heart and a long history. We
were started 60 years ago by members of our church community to provide high
quality preschool education, and as place for children and their families to be
nurtured and supported. We are linked with Uniting Early Learning and
have been nationally assessed as Exceeding in all key performance areas.
As our Director, you
will effectively and efficiently manage the overall operations of the Centre,
ensuring continued high quality service delivery. Your leadership experience,
up to date knowledge of the sector and passion for high quality early years’
education will enable you to lead, motivate, mentor and develop the Educator
and administration team. Your demonstrated experience in Centre management will
ensure all funding, financial and legislative requirements are fulfilled and
that you have the ability to establish supportive and professional
relationships with families and the Committee of Management. The
Director’s position includes teaching on the floor and overseeing the other
staff members. A full day administration release is provided weekly.
Office support is available 4 days a week. The Preschool provides a
play-based program centred around the interests of each individual child, with
a specific focus on the EYLF curriculum for the 3-5’s age group.
As a successful
candidate you must have:
• Bachelor/ Master in Early Childhood Teaching (equivalent)
• Management experience – Centre Director, 2IC or Educational
Leader experience
• Excellent leadership and administration skills
• Involvement in preparation and assessment under the
National Quality Framework.
• Sound operational skills in implementation of policies in
accordance to the legislative requirements
• Demonstrated financial & organisational understanding –
funds, expenses, rosters, etc.
• Great people and interpersonal skills
• Genuine passion in the early years’ sector
• Understand the importance of relevant, educational and
enjoyable programs for the children
