VSO Logistics and Administration Coordinator Job Vacancy in Kigali, Rwanda

VSO is an international non-governmental development organisation that works through volunteers to fight global poverty and justice. Our programmes in Rwanda focus on children in basic education, people with disabilities and youth.

VSO Rwanda is looking to recruit a proactive and highly skilled Rwandan Logistics and Administration Coordinator to provide Logistics, Administration and IT support to the programme.

Responsibilities will include:

• Manage logistics to ensure provision of high quality logistics and administrative services to VSO Rwanda team in line with identified needs
• Develop strategies to improve supplier performance in terms of on-time delivery, quality and cost reduction and ensure contracts are in place with all providers
• Manage the process of finding appropriate housing for volunteers, including furnishing and maintenance.
• Develop, maintain and manage a system of utilisation and safe usage of motor vehicles.
• Maintain up-to-date inventory record for all office and household equipment and keep a record of issuance to and returns by staff and volunteers
• Provide daily IT maintenance to all VSO’s IT equipment, resolving any immediate problems/maintenance issues
• Manage VSO’s databases, including volunteer database, and contact database
You will need to have a degree in a related field and a professional qualification in purchasing and supply management; you should have a least five years relevant experience in an INGO: prior experience in managing Logistics Operations involving accommodation and security.

Excellent interpersonal and planning skills are essential along with the capacity to work as an effective team player. Self-motivated, with attention to detail and you will need strong communication skills (fluency in English and Kinyarwanda) and good IT skills.
